GENERAL INFORMATION
The Crimean weevil harms grapevines, and less frequently various fruit trees.
The main damage is caused by beetles, feeding on buds in spring and leaves in summer.

DIAGNOSTICS
The beetles are wingless.
The body is shiny, pitch-black, the antennae and legs are sometimes lighter. The top is almost naked, with very sparse thin and short hairs, without scales. The body length is 6.2-10 mm, the width is 2.6-5 mm.
The rostrum is slightly transverse, the back of the rostrum is flat. The eyes are large, more or less convex.
