Grape leaf roller, a butterfly of the leaf roller family, caterpillars damage grapes. Caterpillars of the first generation feed on buds, then flowers, ovaries, fastening them with webs and forming web nests.
Caterpillars of the second generation feed on unripe fruits. Damaged berries turn brown, wrinkle, fall off.
The third generation of caterpillars feed on ripe berries, which as a result are often affected by gray mold.

The wingspan of the grape leaf roller is 10-13 mm, the fore wings are olive-brown with a variegated pattern, the hind wings are gray with darker edges.
Caterpillars are up to 12 mm long, yellow-green, with a yellow-brown head and thoracic shield. The biennial grape leaf roller is somewhat larger - the wingspan is 12-18 mm. The fore wings are straw-yellow with a transverse dark band, the hind wings are grayish-brown.
Caterpillars are up to 14 mm long, grayish-green with a shiny black head and thoracic shield. With age, they acquire a reddish-brown color.

Providing ventilated row spacing, clearing bushes of dead bark, and timely harvesting. During the period of mass flight of butterflies and hatching caterpillars of grape leaf rollers, KARATE 050 k.e. is used.
During the feeding period of caterpillars, PIRINEX SUPER k.e. is used, as well as the highly effective preparation ENGIO 247 s.k., which has advantages over other insecticides used against this pest.
